Advanced Programme in Business Analysis

The Advanced Programme in Business Analysis is a comprehensive skills based NQF6 (National Diploma) qualification for experienced business analysts. It is SAQA accredited, endorsed by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®), and aligned to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK®). On the Financial Training Institute (FTI) advanced business analysis programme, you will acquire the skills, techniques, and knowledge to confidently develop business requirements for new IT driven business solutions, with business analysis certification on completion of the business analysis training.

Target audience

The programme is aimed at:

  • Experienced business analysts looking for an accredited, internationally endorsed qualification 
  • Systems analysts, test analysts, developers, process specialists and project managers with an interest in developing relevant skills 

Entry requirements

Delegates should have:

  • At least two years of recent, relevant work experience
  • Access to workplace projects that involve requirements gathering and specification for IT enabled business solutions (required in order to complete the practical components of the qualification)
  • Active support and mentorship by a manager
  • A computer to complete course assignments

  • Self-study includes reading and exam preparation

  • Award of the national certificate requires a portfolio of evidence that is judged to be competent
