  • Lesson 7 – Financial Planning: legal definition of financial advice, lifestyle goal setting, value of independent advice, how to select a financial advisor
  • Lesson 8 – Estate Planning: components of a valid will, your estate, risks of intestate succession, real costs of dying, wrapping up an estate, appropriate use of trusts

Babalwa Nonkenge

Babalwa is a financial services professional with over 20 years of experience in tax, asset management and banking. She is also an entrepreneur with interests in education, media and wealth management.

Hundreds of young professionals have accessed her unique brand of advice about personal finance, via partnerships with the likes of ASISA Academy, FNB, Coronation Fund Managers, SATRIX, and the Gordon Institute of Business.

Her podcast. Epokothweni with Babalwa Nonkenge, gives speakers of indigenous African languages the dignity of access to knowledge in the subject of personal finance in their mother tongue. It has won the 2022 Pan South African Language Board Award for Business and Technology.

Babalwa holds an MBA from the UCT Graduate School of Business, and is a recipient of the Archbishop Desmond Tutu Fellowship.
