Ashlea Evans, founder of The King’s Speech, is an international TV reporter, media trainer and communications expert. She has worked for numerous organisations including CNBC Africa, Al Jazeera News in Washington DC, Business Affair and ABC News. She has reported from The World Bank, The World Economic Forum, The African Mining Indaba and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

Ashlea graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Science in Communication from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. She holds a certificate in The Global Financial Crisis from Yale and a certificate in Corporate Communications from Cornell. She spent seven years living in the USA, where she worked on Capitol Hill before returning to broadcasting.

After years of interviewing world leaders and top business executives who struggled on camera, Ashlea founded The King’s Speech in 2012 to help people make the most of media opportunities, presentations and listings.

From four-star General Alexander Haig (former US Secretary of State) to David Gergen (American political commentator and former presidential adviser), Ash has interviewed and trained some of the world’s most prominent leaders and business professionals.

Ashlea’s strength lies in handling crisis communications situations and developing strategic communications strategies. She has regularly consulted and advised multinational organisations on brand management and reputation enhancement.

Ashlea presents at events and contributes to various media outlets. She has produced online courses and executive leadership programmes. She is passionate about developing a rapport with the people she trains, personally investing in their journey while guiding them to become media masters.
